Who writes this site, where the information comes from, and the things we will never claim. Last reviewed .

What this site is

AllHealth UK is written and edited by a non-clinical editorial team. Every page is compiled from published NHS and NICE guidance and links to the source it draws on. It is not written by doctors, it is not reviewed by a clinician, and it does not diagnose.

AllHealth UK exists to close the gap between "I feel unwell" and "I know what to do next". Each symptom page sets out the common causes, the self-care that actually helps, and — the part that matters most — the specific signs that mean you should stop reading and contact 111, a GP, a pharmacist or 999.

We do not have a clinician on the team, so we do not pretend to. What we do instead is show our working: every page names the published guidance it was compiled from, and links to it, so you can check us against the source in one click. If a page cannot be supported by a source we can point you to, we do not publish it.

Who writes it

Pages are written and edited by the AllHealth UK editorial team, which is not clinically qualified. We do not use invented author names or stock-photo bylines: if a page is not attributed to a named person, it was written by the editorial team, and that is exactly what the byline says.

How we research, write, review and correct a page is set out in full in our editorial policy.

What we do not do

  • We do not diagnose. Nothing on this site is a diagnosis, and no page can tell you what is wrong with you.
  • We are not reviewed by a clinician. No doctor, nurse or pharmacist checks these pages before they are published.
  • We are not part of the NHS. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, accredited by or funded by the NHS, NICE or any government body. We link to NHS services because they are the right place to go — not because they have any connection to us.
  • We do not recommend prescription-only medicines, and we will never tell you to start, stop or change a prescribed treatment.
  • We do not give an opinion on your individual case, and we cannot answer personal medical questions by email.

These figures are counted from the site's own content, so they are always current. We do not publish traffic or audience numbers.

Everything is free to read. There is no account, no paywall and no sign-up wall anywhere on the site.

How the site is funded

It is not, yet. AllHealth UK currently earns nothing: there are no adverts, no affiliate links, no sponsored pages and no paid placements anywhere on the site. If that changes, every paid link will be labelled as one before you click it, and free NHS routes will always be listed first.
